" Institution Maison Lafoi - Newly Constructed School" near Torbeck, Haiti.

The school is finished - Praise the Lord! God worked through all of us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. What a wonderful blessing to sow into the lives of these children, into their futures, into the amazing ways they can impact Haiti as they grow in the way of the Lord, advancing the Kingdom of God. They are our future!

The Christian School, "Institution Maison Lafoi" has been built near Torbeck with 47 students attending. Here they learn reading, writing and have an hour of Bible teaching about JESUS! That's our favorite part. This school, just like the one in Simon, are for children who can't afford to go to other schools in the area. David & Kela started these schools because David's heart is for children to have an education.

"Heart of the Father Ministries" now provides lunches for the students attending both schools. The lunches are, spaghetti, rice and beans or cornmeal with beans. They also make a sauce from vegetables.

If you'd like to be a part of helping to feed the children and school, here are a few ways you can help:

                     Sponsor a child in school - $25 - monthly

                     Sponsor a Teacher - $85 - monthly

                     Sponsor a Cook - $60 - monthly

                      Assist with the food program

"You know it's God when..."

"And my God shall supply all your need according to

His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

 - Philippians 4:19

We're filled with great joy as we open doors to a new school for children who can't afford to attend the other schools in Haiti. "You know it's God when..."

You know it's God when you can see the vision, step out in faith with the vision, and when you go over the budgeted amount, you keep the vision before you, release the vision back to God and let Him run with it! What we experienced with building the school was exactly this. God built His school in record time through all of you. There's an overwhelming joy which beams from within when we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves.

We broke ground in early April of 2019 with the vision of building a school house from the ground up, all by hand. With a budget in place to complete this project and blueprints before us, with great joy the dirt began to move from the staked out strings, one shovel at a time, to huge mounds of earth which would soon become part of the foundation. As the video reveals, the holes dug by hand are formed to hold wire cages made from many pieces of rebar. Theses cages are used for foundation supports as well as support beams to join together the walls creating the corners. Many of the rebar cages were also placed lengthwise within the walls to give additional strength and support. Everything is held in place with cement mixed by hand. The water used in making cement is gathered from a well on the other side of the school land and carried in five gallon pails upon the heads of several people. It's than poured into a huge barrel and used as it's needed. A "rock-wall" was built creating the entire framing for the foundation using rocks of all sizes. Once the rocks were secured in place with cement, all the open areas were filled in with more rocks and the dirt left from digging the foundation. Before we knew it cement was being mixed by hand and the foundation floor was being poured bucket by bucket and… we were over budget. With the increase cost of materials we had to stop the building project. We were disappointed and discouraged. We were so excited for the children in this area to finally have a chance to go to school and now...  I recall a conversation we had. This project was for the children in Haiti, God's children, we had nothing to gain or benefit from the project - simply put, we wanted to bless these children with the opportunity to get an education. With that in mind, our conversation went something like this, "This is God's project for His children, He will complete the project in His time, not ours and if the school doesn't open until the fall of 2020, that's okay – we’ll keep the vision and goal before us. Nothing is impossible for God.”

Now,  because God doesn't just "meet the need" rather He supplies more than enough, exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think or imagine, and within a month of shutting the project down, the walls were being constructed block by block, than wooden supports and more rebar were set in place and the roof was poured one bucket at a time. Within a short time the windows and doors were welded and secured into the openings created for them, benches were built from planks of wood and chalkboards were hung on each classroom wall. Oh... but God didn't stop there - No, within a short time donations came in to pay teachers, purchase books and just when we thought we'd have to juggle food between the two schools so ALL the children in both schools could have a meal, another donation came in to supply food to feed the children at the new school! This is our God. Nothing is impossible for Him. He meets the need. God met the needs through YOU! God works in and through you and I. He blesses all of us to be a blessing. He's the one who touches hearts, to impact people, to change a nation, to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. We trust, step out in faith and wait... wait patiently on Him.

You know it's God when, you can't do it in your own strength or ability.

"We know it's God."

All glory and praise to Him, with God ALL things are possible.

"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."     -  Ephesians 3:20-21

17 …whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 …let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 23 …that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

-1 John 3:17, 18, 23
